Floating-Ball-Type Floor Drain

This floating-ball-type floor drain has 3 major advantages beyond the conventional floor drain:

1. To prevent the intrusion of cockroach from the sewage system
A cockroach has a pair of thick, leathery wings that fold over its body for protection. It has another pair of membranous flying wings underneath. Some cockroaches can go without air for 45 minutes while some are able to recover from being submerged underwater for half an hour.

A cockroach can easily go into your house through the sewage system via the conventional floor drain. With this new floating-ball-type floor drain, the cockroach will be blocked by the floating ball which is 20 times heavier than the weight of a mature cockroach.

2. Fast and smooth water flow rate
Currently there are floor drains featuring water-traps (odour seals) available in the market. However, the water flow rate into the drainage system via these water-trap floor drains might be slow when the volume of water is high and the flow is strong.

The new floating-ball-type floor drain will not have this problem when draining strong and heavy waste water because the out-flowing water will push up the ball to facilitate the water flow. The ball will then rest on the pipe hole when the water is drained (auto-close) and serves as a trap.

3. Odour seal
The present odour seal floor drains in the market are using the residual water to block the stink/odour from the sewage system. This water trap might not be functional or might be ineffective when the residual water in the pipe evaporates. The floating-ball-type floor drain will not have this issue as the sink/odour is blocked by the ball which rests on the pipe hole.

Waterproof Padlock

This water-resistant padlock has an innovative fluid-tight design at the engagement region between the shackle legs of the padlock and the openings for receiving these legs to prevent the locking mechanism configured within the padlock body from mud, dirt, water or any deleterious materials. It is waterproof and suitable to be use indoor or outdoor under various deleterious atmospheric conditions.

This padlock can further comprises a key-way covering means for protecting the key passage way from being ruined by any contaminants, rust-inducing or deleterious materials.

The followings are the illustration and claims of the waterproof padlock:

1. A padlock comprising a body (51) with two openings (57, 58), a shackle (52) with a long leg (54) fixed within the body (51) and a short leg (53) mounted on the body (51) which is releasable from the opening (57) in an unlocked mode, characterized in that female covering members (55) circumferentially extend from the long leg (54) and the short leg (53) are engaged with male covering members (56) formed around the corresponding openings (57, 58) to form a seal in a locked mode;
2. A padlock according to claim 1, wherein the female covering members (55) are cap-like protrusion or annular notches;
   
3. A padlock according to claim 2, wherein the cap-like protrusion are conical or hemispherical in shape;
4. A padlock according to claim 1, wherein the male covering members (56) are uprising annular flanges;
5. A padlock according to claim 4, wherein the uprising annular flanges has a sharp rim or flat rim; and
6. A padlock according to claim 1, wherein the male covering members (56) are formed on the body (51) of the padlock.

A waterproof padlock model size of 50mm will have the followings measurements:

For a padlock size model of 40mm, the upper shackle diameter is 6mm with shackle legs diameter of 4mm.

For a padlock size model of 60mm, the upper shackle diameter is 10mm with shackle legs diameter of 8mm.

LockShed

LockShed is a padlock weather shield which helps to protect your padlock against harsh weather and to enhance its durability.

The LockShed has a magnet at its back to stick on your metal gate to facilitate the locking and unlocking of padlock.

A string is also provided for tying the LockShed with your gate if you wish to.

Should your gate is not made of metal, a self-adhesive hanger is provided for hanging the LockShed to facilitate the locking and unlocking of padlock. Just clean the targeted area of your gate for pasting the self-adhesive hanger and paste it on tightly.

The LockShed has a special ‘fold-and-break’ widening mechanism at its back to suit various types of gate staple/hasp.

Improved Sleeve Anchor / Wedge Anchor

This invention relates to an improved sleeve anchor or wedge anchor which can perform as a drill bit during the drilling process and function as a strong wall fastener for structural fixture as well.

An improved sleeve anchor comprises a tubular shell (20) with plurality of clefts (21) which extends from one end to the body part (23) of the tubular shell; a shank (10) defined by drill bit (11) with fluted part (12) at one end, shank body (13) and threaded part (14) at the opposite end with a locking groove (17b) placed at the upper top surface of the threaded end (18) in which the threaded part (14) and the shank body (13) are telescopically inserted into the tubular shell (20) with the cleft end (24) directed to the drill bit (11); a nut (15) having at least one locking groove (17a) is fixed at the threaded end (18) of the shank (10); and a locking means (25) to be inserted into the locking grooves (17a and 17b) on the shank (10) and nut (15) to prevent rotational movement of the nut (15) during the drilling process, wherein said fluted part (12) is tapered towards the threaded end (18) to form an expander wedge to expand the cleft end (24) of the tubular (20) shell to form a strong fixture while the shank is drawn upward by the spinning the nut (15) once the locking means (26) being removed.

Summary of Invention

This invention aims to:

1. Provide a hybrid type of sleeve anchor or wedge anchor which is not only used as a strong fixture for securing heavy items on wall but also function as a drill bit in the corresponding size of the sleeve anchor itself.


2. Relate to a novel type of sleeve anchor that can be easily handled and used with wrench preferably coupled with a power tool. In more particular, the present invention enables the user to drill the wall and fix the sleeve anchor on the wall only using a powered socket wrench without changing different types of clamp jaws or drill bits as in normal drills.


3. Reduce the cost for wall drilling process due to abrasion of the drill bits or the damage of the targeted object caused by worn drill bits.


4. Provide improved sleeve anchor comprises a tubular shell with plurality of clefts which extends from one end to the body part of the tubular shell; a shank with one end shaped into drill bit with fluted part, a shank body and the remaining part of the shank is threaded with a groove predisposed at the upper top surface of the threaded end in which the threaded part of the shank are telescopically inserted into the tubular shell with the cleft end directed to the drill bit; a nut having at least one groove is , fixed at the threaded end of the shank; and a locking means to be inserted into the grooves on the shank and nut to prevent rotational movement of the nut during the drilling process, wherein said flute part is tapered towards the threaded end to form an expander wedge to expand the cleft end of the shell to form a strong fixture while the shank is drawn upward by the ' nut once the locking means being removed.


5. Include the use of washer with the nut to significantly enhance the fixture of the present improved sleeve anchor on the wall.


6. Shape the part of drill bit into the form masonry drill bit or core drill bit to ease the process of drilling.
